COLOR + DESIGN in Stapleford, UK - Discovering the beauty of Cambridgeshire

I am extremely grateful to the artist Karen Stamper who has invited me to come to the UK and work with artists in Stapleford, only 4 miles south from her beautiful city of Cambridge. She was not certain I would come their way and was cautiously warning me to think small, compared to the American vastness. I could not resist the opportunity to experience the charm of Cambridge and the museums of London, so of course I replied with a big ‘Yes’.

Think small, as Karen said - we have room for only ten artists. We will spend three days working in a beautiful 19th century farm - the Stapleford Granary, lovingly restored and converted into a study centre for music, arts and culture. The tranquility of the site, together with its accessibility, make it the ideal venue for those wishing to escape the hectic rush of the everyday grind in order to stretch and dive deep into the realm of Color + Design.

I hope you can join us.

Student Testimonials

I think any artist who is interested in expanding their horizons in the area of color and design would benefit greatly from this intense immersion!

I’m so much more aware of color now and I’m no longer afraid of it. I see how even just a little bit of thought and understanding can make a huge difference in my work.

Mark is passionate about color, design, and teaching. He presents so much information in a palatable and easy to understand way and taking this course has been invaluable. I see color so differently now and I know my work is going to just get stronger and stronger as I begin to incorporate all that I’ve learned. I totally recommend this workshop for anyone at any level who wants to dive into a deeper understanding of color and design.
